<Begin Summary>

Affiliate Marketing: The act of marketing a product for a commission based on sales ranging up to 100%. This product can be your own with yourself acting as an affiliate for your own product. You can also market someone elses product(s) for a commission.

How Much? I want to get this out of the way quickly because that’s usually the first question people want to know. This can be done for free, or you can spend hundreds of thousands of dollars per day to market a product. What’s your budget?

How Much Can I Make? I don’t know. I’ve made more in a month that I made in a year at a highly skilled Network Administration position with a large company. The Internet Marketing gurus have made millions in a day. Study Them. Who? John Reese, Frank Kern, Mike Filsaime, Mark Joyner, {insert your favorite guru here, or comment about it}

Can anyone do this? No. Absolutely not. I say this in the most sincere way. This is not for everyone. Some people are not of the right mindset to be marketers, entrepreneurs, or even making money period. If this is you, you need not read further. Please.

Still with me? Glad we got them out of here. Now, we of like minds can move on.

</End Summary>

<Begin Info Digestion>

Since I am very serious about this, and I don’t think we’ve weeded out everyone that doesn’t need to be here, I’m going to go into further detail about why you shouldn’t do this.

If you don’t excel in the hunt for a dollar, then business isn’t you you. You have to thrive in an environment that is only yours to create. If you’d rather have a steady paycheck and the security of that, you’re better off as an employee. Check out Robert Kiyosaki’s Cashflow Quadrant book. It’s on Amazon. I could tell you the benefits of not being in the employee mindset, but honestly, you’d think I was full of it if I told you because your mindset isn’t right for this. You can leave now if this describes you.

If you aren’t looking for a quick buck, this isn’t for you. I’ve talked with and met tons of online marketers/entrepreneurs and they work for the money they earn. The point of being a smart entrepreneur is working yourself out of the work though. Make sense? You work your little tail off to begin the streams of income, and then you find employees to do the work to free up your time, while profiting from their labors. Sound familiar? Like the owner of the company you may work for now. Lots of hard work in the beginning will pay off in the end. I guarantee it. Don’t buy hype. If you want quick money, search for that in Google, eventually, you’ll either find it and squander it all, or you’ll go back to work to pay back all the credit card companies the money you owe for the hunt.

If you aren’t persistent and give up easily, this isn’t for you. No business is. Persistence pays off. Sometimes, it’s hard to see what you’re working toward and why you’re working toward it. This is where goal setting comes into play. Write that down. We’ll come back to it later. Goal Setting. It’s important. Anyway, you need to be persistent in business. You have to force yourself through the hard parts even when you think you can’t. Want motivation? Check out this youtube video:

If you can’t set a goal and stick with it, a business isn’t for you. Goal setting is a very important aspect of any business. You have to be able to set goals for yourself and your company or you’re just meandering around aimlessly. Guess where this gets you? Somewhere, but not where you want to be right? I’m not going to teach you how to set goals. Here’s why:

If you can’t research things yourself and find your own conclusions, business isn’t for you. You need to study. You need to learn. You need to accept the hard parts of what people tell you along with the good.

If you are easily swayed by friends, family, co-workers, random people, or even your dog, business isn’t for you. Your family will think you’re nuts when you try to have your own business. Your friends will tell you that you’re wasting your time trying to make money on the Internet. Am I off base? Nope. Been there. Done that. They will be glad you decided to become an entrepreneur when you can give them a job when times are tough. You can’t listen to other people You must be decisive.

Ok. If you’re still with me, read on.

There are many benefits to creating a business out of affiliate marketing. I will cover a few. Stay with me here.

You get to work from home. Sounds like a dream job right? It is.

You get to set your own hours.

The only limitation to your business is internet access. This means you can work from anywhere with a means of accessing the internet. Cool right?

You can make as much as you’re willing to go after. Seriously. Need more money? Work harder on the niche your in. Expand it. Grow it. Find a new hot niche. Oh. What am I talking about “Niche”? See above. Research it. I’ll cover this in a later post.

You can finally buy happiness. Okay. Just kidding. But, you can buy small things that keep you happy for a while

You get to help people find things they want/need and profit from it. That’s where the money comes in.

</End Digestion>

<Begin Conclusion>

Ok. I’ve rambled a lot here. This is where this post ends. I guarantee you that you will learn from this series. I will talk about things that you have to buy and spent countless thousands on to learn. I will give it to you straight. I don’t sugar coat very easy. See www.twitter.com/crapjamessays that was so graciously created by my friend Peter Dunbar without my knowledge until after a few posts. I seriously want to scare away the people without the right mindset here. I don’t want them to waste a single second of their precious time they could be making another entrepreneur money, watching television, surfing mindlessly on the internet, or playing some game.

I am not going to provide you with social proof that I know what I’m talking about. Sorry. I’m not going to show you bank statements. I’m not even going to make a cool video showing you checks from affiliate sites. I am going to prove to you that I know what I’m talking about by getting you started in an affiliate marketing business. No Hype. No Games. This will be straight up information that makes me money online so you can do the same. The power of duplication. Sound okay to you?

Post a comment. Let me know. I don’t want to get bored with this and leave you hanging.
